From around 68' till the early 80's chrysler offered only a 2bbl carb and intake for the 318 because it was plenty adequite for both cars and trucks.A good rebuild on a stock 318 should be adequite to turn your low geared M-37 into a strong running machine even if you up to 4:89's.
If it is not utilized, HP gains are a waste of time and money. If a stock 318 will do all you need, why waste time and money ?
