I had two of them in the carryall frame. And lots of plumbing. I tossed the tanks, saved the plumbing and hyra-vac, if anybody needs it.

The tank's only source of air is the intake manifold, so they suck in the fuel mixture. The gas settles out. Eventually they fill with gas sludge. Drain them from time to time, if they have a bleed valve on the bottom.

I don't know why they were necessary, modern vac boost systems don't have any.
