Hey yall, I can't remember if I had shot an update out about getting ahold of a plasma cutter.

After extensive research I finally made a decision on a plasma and went with a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 42. I have been very pleased so far with this machine although the life of the expendables has been a little less desireable than I had hoped. There is a definite decline in cut quality when they get worn out....although it may be due to user error in learning how to use it properly, i.e. it will still cut WITHOUT having the ground lead hooked up but that will destroy the tip PDQ. So far I have cut everything from basically aluminum foil to 5/8" bar stock and have been very impressed with the results. The smaller stuff gets a bit of slag on the back that is easily knocked off with one pass of the grinder, come to think of it, so did the 5/8!

Thanks again to everyone who provided me with input to help me make a decision. I don't know how I ever lived without one before!

Oh, here is the place I got it. Prices were WAAAYYY lower than anything I could find locally.
