I had cracks in the areas you mention along with cracks in the body where it radius's around the rear corner, cracks in the formed
C Channel that goes around the entire rear body opening. I wanted to fix them all correctly. I opened the carryall up like a Christmas Turkey and had at it. That included removing 'all' the inner sheet steel. Not a fun expedition, but it had to be done.
