In Kansas in my home town most of the good jobs have gone away years ago. Most are living on piss poor jobs and I guess a lot of welfare and assistance. It seems most here are getting by. Not really buying anything big like a vehicle or house. Over the course of the last 8 years I have seen most everything triple or quadruple in price around here. We do have the big foreclosed houses here and there. I always shook my head wondering how someone was able to borrow money and live in a big house like that a few years ago. After the banks took a dive I learned how they were able to live in a house like that.

I still have some disposable income but not like I did due to the fact everything costs more these days. I am in an anti borrow mode right now. Not really wanting to borrow money and pay cash for anything that comes up. I really need to think about getting a new vehicle but I keep driving my old junkers. Our house is too small now since my 2 daughters have come along but I just dont want to try and buy a bigger house right now and have bigger expenses that go with the house. We basically go to work and come home and stay. Try and live as cheap as we can.
