You can spray the paint on the house but I would go right back over it with a good brush. Basically you are using the sprayer as an applicator and using the brush to work it down into the wood texture. This method will give you faster application plus better adhesion and a better looking paint job. I have sprayed with and without the back brushing, the back brushing did a much better job. I used a professional sprayer and latex paint in both cases.
