My 63 W300 had a front mount 318 Poly engine, I used the stock "sandwich" type insulator to install the Perkins, and it was just delicious.

I also installed a 318 Poly from a 65 W300 into my M37 with the "floating power" type front engine mount. D300s were different in the 60s.
