3/16 is kinda thick , I think 10 guage is fine and if I had a pullman and could put some sort of ribs in the floor I would be happy to work with 12 or 14 guage . But I see that a few of the pro shops are going 10 guage because it saves time in the build and the customer can not afford to pay the additional cash that it would take to build a sculptured floor .
3/16 or even 10 guage makes for a nice flat floor that is oil can free , easy to mount seats to and adds structure strength to the vehicle .
I keep looking at my parcel truck and thinking how an all aluminum 4x4 would be .......... naw i ain't starting another one.
