There sure isn't much room for a sleeve. But maybe tightening up the width with the hammer will extend the length?
I am talking the early springs, the ones with grease grooves formed in the leaves. I've sand blasted, so too much crust is not the problem.
The rears are the more usual style, plenty of room for sleevies.
