After a while they will not have 3.6X downloads available and they will quit supporting it. After a while longer, newer versions of the various plug-ins and add-ons will stop working with the unsupported older browser. After a while more, the browser might not work on new or updated versions of the OS. Perhaps someone will find a big security hole in 3.6X, but it won't get patched. Even if none of that happens, eventually websites will start using features in new versions of html that aren't supported by older browsers.

Unless you want a computer that's isolated from the rest of the world and only uses old versions of the OS and apps, eventually you have to update various things. It's just the way it works. By the way, I just found a box of 9" floppies for Xenix and a TRS-80. Anybody want them?
