I can't see where he says it's free. Phone number checks out to someone named Roberts in Weaverville, CA. "like to see someone get" doesn't mean it's free. How many times do we find someone who has a great old truck (in their view) that they'd like to see go to someone who will appreciate it or they "just want rid of", but if they don't get $3000 for it, it's going to the scrapper next week. Or more realistically, it's going to just keep sinking into the barn yard. I think your guy is legit, but he doesn't even own the truck. Maybe it's on his neighbor's place and he snuck in and took pictures of it while the owner was passed out drunk. Maybe he thinks if he gets an offer on it he'll go to the neighbor and offer him half of that. Maybe he's just a kid who thinks it's neat and would buy it himself if he could. Somebody ought to check it out, anyway. But I don't see it being free.
