1. If you dont use some type of protection on the glass in the view port, it will etch very quickly and be opaque. Lumber Yards and such sell a product called Crystal Clear. Its a heavy plastic, that is crystal clear. Its almost as clear as glass. It comes on rolls, sold by the foot. Put that on the inside of the glass and your glass will last forever.
2. WHen you on a long run blast, turn off all the lights in the blaster area. Just use the internal lights in the blaster. Believe me, your eyes will thank you. With my shop lights on, after a long time, my eyes get tired. The lights off solved that for me.
