The box I'm looking at uses a vertical out put shaft. And mounts to the outside of the frame, not above. It should be more readily available, being as it's '70 chevy. Pitman arm points outward, a remodeled drag link ought to hook it to the stock steering arm. Similar geometry is used on the Chevy. Being outside, the battery ought to still fit in the OE location.
And maybe other boxes use a similar mount and geometry?
