That's basically a very expensive way to use gunpowder to break small boulders. You can accomplish the same thing with the cheapest reloading powder you can find, some fuse, and damp dirt to stem the hole. All they do is put the powder in a cartridge that looks like a long skinny shotgun shell, in a holder which provides stemming, and use a firing pin with a lanyard to set it off so as to avoid fuse. It's intended for trail crews and such that need to move one rock out of the trail that's too big to move by muscle power.

If all I needed was 5/16" holes 10" deep my Bosh roto-hammer would zip them out in no time. I need to drill much bigger holes than that.
