The chart on the dash gives a max of 55.
I do about 60, with a 230, 11.00x16 Michelins, a 2 bbl, and headers.
If your truck can't do 50, it needs work. A better muffler and a bigger carb would be good places to start.
These dyno curves are before the 2bbl, but with the breathing mods. The B&B 1bbl had 2" of vacuum, waaay undersize. The 2bbl BDL really woke it up, but I haven't dynoed it since.
