the truck is designed to go 50 to 55 MPH with the stock gearing and 9.00 x 16 tires. with the change to 4.89 gears you can run 60 or so. With the stock gearing you hit 3200 rpms at 55 mph. As long as youu keep the rpms at 3200 or below you are not doing any engine damage.
