My plan until actually typing this was disassembly (necessary*) for blasting and painting this set. But I doubt that OE was painted except as an assembly. Now I'm wondering whether paint will 'glue' them together, or act as a lube?
I've got to disassemble the fronts because a previous owner reassembled them catawampus. Some short leaves are on top, and upside down, with the clips aimed down. Maybe though it would lighten the action? Plus a broken main leaf.
How many did a 3/4t have, f&r? I'd like o lighten it up too...
