At least the first round of Jet/Foremost/Grizzly machinery was all copies of Rockwell. The problem is the quality of the castings wasn't nearly as good, nor was the fit and finish. That was 30 years ago. They've undoubtedly improved since mainland China started making their own Rockwell copies cheaper, and Taiwan couldn't compete on price. But just because it looks like an old Rockwell machine doesn't mean it runs as smooth or the castings are as good a quality.
