Regular unleaded will work fine. White gas used to be necessary to avoid having the lead clog up the burner and make poisonous fumes. Any "white gas" stove will run fine on unleaded. Where you still need real "white gas" is for the mantle-type coleman lanterns. Something in the pump gas ruins the mantles. But for a plumber's torch or similar thing, pump gas is fine. In this picture you can see the "generator", which is the coil of tubing that vaporizes the gasoline to make it burn with a blue flame. It's not clear if there's a priming cup around the base of the burner, but if there is, fill that full of gas first and light it so as to pre-heat the generator. I would test this outdoors, well away from anything flammable, and with a bucket of water handy. The pump leather will probably need to be oiled. Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised if it fires right up.
