That's a nice story that ended well. The kind that makes everyone feel good.
One of my sons and his wife have 3 dogs of their own they have rescued. They have for several years been involved with a local shelter, taking in a dog temporarily until they or the shelter can find a suitable home. The program works really well, and my kids enjoy helping out. Their biggest struggle is resisting keeping all the dogs.
Unfortunately there are far too many dogs out there with no homes or with bad homes. I don't understand those who would be cruel to dogs. JH
