Greetings All,
My 1/2 ton WC Transfer case is leaking like Hell. The leaks are coming from all the Bearing Retainers. I had installed new gaskets on them but did not use any gasket sealant. Was that a mistake? I did change all the oil seals. I do still have a leak coming out of the front axle drive shaft bearing retainer. I put a speedy sleave on propeller shaft companion flange; it is still leaking. Everything was dry for a few days after the re-installation, then the leaks started. I'm getting very PO'D now. Should I have cleaned the shims better than I did? I know for a fact that the case gasket is not leaking. Any advice would be most helpful. I then will tackle the leaking oil seal on the Tranny rear main bearing. Thanks again.
