Knowing Clint, I don’t suppose he really cares one way or another whether people call them flatfenders. He is just trying to share his knowledge.

He is a man who has owned Power Wagons for a long time and goes out of his way to share what he has learned. It’s a shame when the folks who have such knowledge are forced to reiterate simple things like this.

The fenders are not flat. They have a distinct crown; both from front to back, and from side to side. Anyone who has done body work on them is familiar with the crowns. They are not easy to shape.

I suppose if people think it’s easier to call these trucks FFPWs, it’s ok. But it’s not going to help them a bit when they do body work and their fenders end up looking like those of a Willys.
