I feel that having only 6 pinion teeth means only six to wear. 12 teeth would make them last twice as long.

I really don't think most of these trucks have a million miles on them. And years don't wear differentials.

And not only do the antique engines not last, but they only make 100 ft lbs of torque to wear the drivetrain. Yet R&Ps wear out, tranfer cases do not...
