no excuses, but the automotive cupboards are bare. my 2010 megacab has the leather interior with the air cooled seats. there are about a million holes in the covers to let the air circulate. on the drivers seat near the edge, the leather clearly cracked along the perforated holes. my servicing dealer 'refused' to take pics and send to dodge. said is was clearly cut with a razor or tool. my truck is in 100% mint condition with 24k miles. the seat is clearly not cut. didn't fight with the dealer as money spends elsewhere for service. got one of those random calls from the dealership group asking if they provided 100% customer service. i told them what happened and how disappointed i was that that the mgr didn't even make any effort to warranty out a clearly defective cover. the woman on the phone was super nice and i took the opportunity to relate that her dealership lost the sale on this truck when i bought it last april. i told her that i visited twice with the 'build a dodge' printout from the website detailing the truck i wanted. two times i was told i couldn't get the truck i had 'built'. off to dave smith i go and get the truck without hassle. put a call into dave smith and they are going to get chrysler to get the seat repaired. my salesman from ds calls monthly, no other salesman from any dealer i have ever used has done that. good prices, easy ordering, excellent follow up makes them hard to beat. dave smith also helped when my sunroof was leaking. my local guy wanted to remove the assembly to be resealed. i called dave smith service and spoke with the service manager. there was a known issue with the drivers front drain tube. the zip cords were pulled too tight on some trucks and made the hose kink. water backed up and gave the appearance of a leaking seal. 10 mins and i fixed it myself.....
the same day that i got the customer service call from the local dealer, i got a follow up call from what i believe was the owner. he wanted me to bring the truck back in to look at the seat. he was apologetic and wanted me to give them another opportunity. i believe that if the owners were onsite more these things wouldn't happen in the first place...
