One of the main stays of the business here was buying and selling cars trucks and equipment.S O P was when anything came here the engine was ran until hot oil and filter changed immediately.Then the engine was restarted and the we listened to the engine until the oil pump "picked up" the oil!.At that 3 or four minute interval running with out oil and the engine hot you can detect rods and main bearing ,piston slap,wrist pin play,if you know what your listening for.Its fool proof and this was the basis that the old man would sell or tell down something.Seldom did this oil change test let us down and sold the quiet ones with confidence,all others sold on discount on wear noise.junior copey
