I would get the 9,000 lb lift. Seven thousand doesn't seem like much margin for our trucks. When you are under the truck, you will probably think the extra safety margin was worth the money.

I have a two post lift which is real nice for working on brakes, tires and axles which seem to be most of the reason to raise the truck. I've never used a four post lift, but I think the two post lift is a better setup.

I got the extra-wide version of the lift, it makes it nice for opening the doors and just getting around the truck and you don't need to have an asymmetrical (uneven arms) lift.

When I'm not using the lift, I just lift the arms to the maximum height. Then I can walk around and use the area without much reduction in usable space. With the extra-wide lift, it's easy to drive vehicles in and out of the work area when you are not using the lift.

A four post lift is always going to be taking up a lot of usable space somewhere.
