I was driving along the freeway N. of Seattle about 4 1/2 yrs ago on a very wet ,cold day and passed a little dog walking along on the shoulder. It took a minute to register that it shouldn't be there so I doubled back and stopped about 50' away, afraid she would run out in traffic. I got her to come to me and put her in the back seat on a moving pad and she was asleep in about 30 seconds, Took he to a vet- no chip, tag or collar. Vet said she was a Shi Tzu about 12 yrs old and might have been a breeder Took her to animal rescue; they said they would try to find owner and would let me know. No one claimed her and I adopted her on Pearl Harbor day, hence the name Pearl. Most loving dog I ever had. I had to put her down about a year ago when she developed a tumor about the size of an orange that was choking her.
