The 4BT came with a Ford setup. It has the Ford bell housing with the Cummins adapter for it. The T19 was attached to it when I got it. I need to buy the adapter to mate the T19 to the Dana 18. I am using 1980 Scout axles from a diesel. I am not sure that they were original to the Scout but the front axle numbers indicate so. I have not confirmed the ratios yet. I would like to keep the Dana 18 so I can keep the OD which would allow me to split gears plus get 4th gear with 27% OD. The Transfer case will be 1" rearward of its original position.

I will move the front axle 1" froward from original when I re-spring the truck. This will make sure that the lower passenger side front cover bolt on the 4BT does not hit the boss on top of the differential housing. The engine and front axle really work well together.

I will lift the front of the Willys a couple of inches when I convert the front springs from 1 3/3" to 2" wide. I have the original front springs in right now and they are sagging a little with the weight of the 4BT. If I lift the front just enough to level the truck I will have plenty of clearance between the engine and differential.

Here is a link to a few photos of the Willys.
