goodyear soles and heels have not been made in america in at least 17 years. tony lama has some production in china,mexico and the good ol us of a. today i looked at some tony lama western boots several styles that will soon be available made in america at a price to compete with there competition that has always been made in china (ariat boots) that in the last few years has took a chunck of business from our boot companys in america. i also sell ariat because people beat the door down for them, i would love to return to the days when my store had nothing from china, sadly today i would miss a lot business. redwing has footwear made in china under the labels worx,irish setter, carharrt, and vasque. not all redwings are made in america some are china, some made in usa with imported materials, some are assembled in usa, some made in usa, some are made in usa with union labor these shoes have a union label in them . i dont like it but i guess i will live with it and try to sell more made in usa products, like today i orderd some tony lama made in usa that will compete with the china boots and i also orderd some china made tony lama boots. thanks for listening this has made me ill.
