you have switched carbs and still have the same problem so that might rule out accel pump.
do you have good fuel flow from the tank?
sometimes the pickup in tank gets clogged and
restricts flow.
remove the inlet fitting and see if any fuel
comes out / then if you have an old piece of
speedo cable run it in the tank & see if you
get more flow (this was the problem with our
48) then drain the tank, remove from truck, and take to rad shop to get boiled out
