kind of a long one. Iīll try to make it short as possible.

After having been here two times, first time we drove down in a 57 chevy apache panel truck, we turned into homemade camper. I decided I wanted to move here and went back to the states framing houses to get the funds. I figured I wanted a 4wd for work and possible trips south. In 1972 I ran into a 65w100 in Houston and bought it. Drove it to C. R. and back, truck never flenched, beat the hell out of it, but she kept going, a friend bought her from me. How ever when I was here on that trip I saw my first ff crawling up a mountain loaded to the gills, big impression on me, with the funds went looking for ffs and found a 47wdx wrecker under a tree in the back of the La Grange Dodge dealer and bought it for $500 the rest is history. And yes have seen several here and actually shipped to wms to c.r. way back when. There is a beautiful 68 in San Jauquin de Flores, been in the family since they bought it new from the dealer.

I have seen several over the years and dodge really blew it by not keeping the ffs going and for not ever have putting a diesel in them. After we sold all our tech. to Japan they came in here with cheap vehicles with diesels and took over the market. It was basically a con job, because the original owners of the ffs that work them in their coffee plantations know that fully loaded they are as economical as any and they also know they were perfectly suited for the rugged trails around the coffee farm(any farm as far as that goes), proof in point is I have tried to buy trucks off the original owners that still harvest their coffee with them and they will not sell.

As far as the Ticas go, I gotta wear blinders or I`ll go nuts, sometimes itīs more than I can handle just to walk down the street.

Peace and best rgds

P.S., I still have a 10000 sq. ft. mountain hideaway 15 min.s from the Pacific ocean for sale.
