We live down in a draw. Usually the snow blows in and drifts around us. This time was different. The wind was just right coming down the draw that it blew most of the snow away. Most drifts on our property were only 2 to 4-feet deep. Up on the flat areas it was much worse. The deepest I saw was at my neighbors only 1/8 mile away. Snow was as high as the top of sliding door on his Morton Building, and this was from blowing past the building, not over it.

I had a tough time breaking through to the road. The snow here was drifted only a little over 2-feet deep, but it was almost hard enough to walk on. There is a layer of ice under it. I am chained up on all fours with double cross chains on the front with ice cleats. I had to take multiple passes and just keep ramming into it. I did not dare angle my plow or the whole front end would have been thrown to the side and I would not have been able to back out up the hill.
