Hi Jim
Clean up the casting where the seal goes. If the new seal has a thick paint looking coating on the edges, just tap it in evenly. If its bare metal I put some Form-a-gasket around the edge. If you have a large socket that is just smaller than the diameter of the seal it makes tapping it in easier, but you can do it without. Getting it in straight is the key to success. Wipe some grease on the rubbr lip of the seal and the side of the yoke when you slide the yoke on.
