People do and say all sort of things on the internet, trucks get swapped around, etc.

But here are the basic Utiline bed facts:

1946 (some say late 1945) to early 1951 WDX to B-3-PW-126 beds were 8 foot long with 4 stake pockets, and angled top rails.

Mid 1951 to 1955 B-3-PW-126 to C-3-PW6-126 beds were 8 foot long with 3 stake pockets, and angled top rails.

1956 to 1968 C-3-PW6-126 to WM300s used a 8 foot bed with 3 stake pockets and flat top rails.

1948 to 1955 B-1-B-108 to C-3-B8-108 1/2 ton 2wd pickups used a 6 1/2 foot long tall narrow bed with two stake pockets and angled top rails.

1956 to 1958 C-3-B8-108 to D100 and W100 used a 6 1/2 foot long tall narrow bed with two stake pockets and flat top rails.

1959 to 1980s D100, W100 used a 6 1/2 foot long tall wide bed (1959 is the first year where all the beds use the three hinge tailgate) with two stake pockets and flat top rails.

1948-55 B-1-C-116, B-1-D-116 to C-3-C8-116 used a 7 1/2 foot tall bed with two stake pockets and angled bed rails.

1956 to 1965 1/2 C-3-C8-116 D100s, D200s, W200s used a 7 1/2 foot long bed with 2 stake pockets and flat top rails.

1965 1/2 to the 1980s used a 8 foot long bed with more commonly 2 stake pockets, and flat top bed rails. This bed is a inch or so different in the location of the wheel well or something (I have never tried myself, just heard stories) so there is a little juggling to get it onto a WM300 style PW).

1948 to 1955 B-1-D to C-3-D8 used a 9 foot long bed with 3 stake pockets and angled top rails.

1956 to 1971 C-3-D8 to D300 and W300 used a 9 foot bed with 3 stake pockets and flat top rails.

There were exceptions, like a limited number of 1960 W200s that the factory equipped with 9 foot beds, or another small number of early 70s D200s that got 9 foot beds.

Other than oddballs like that this is a decent list.

If you want to mix and match, measure the room you have for a bed, and then pick the one that fits.

There is no such thing as a 9 foot factory WDX-WM300 style PW bed. People have cut the 9 footers down to 8 foot, but that seems silly now that you can buy brand new 8 footers.
