I am with Dave on this one. I believe I remember when Mark sold it. I really liked the truck just the way it was though I can tell that the current owner invested a lot of time, effort, and money into its restoration. However, if I were inclined to pay $30.000 for a fine restored truck like that, I would probably be willing to fork over an extra 50% to get it in the shape it was in when Mark still had it. Some trucks simply loose value in my eyes by being restored.

Now, the local '48 that went to $25,700 on ebay without meeting the reserve, I have no idea whether it is truly worth that much to the collectors I know, but I saw it before it was refurbished and it was in the condition that typically brings about $1,500 to $2,000 these days. As it sat, it would not not even made a good work truck. The difference now is hard to believe. It was saved from a trip to the scrap yard. Some trucks increase in value after time, effort, and money are spent on them.

I guess these are two examples of either extreme.
