Sure you are adjusting it the right way? (not to call you stoopid, but I never know who I'm dealing with on the net, and we all make mistakes... this would be a simple fix) In the same vein, you didn't put it in backwards? Aren't they usually labeled 'fly wheel side'? But I always try them both ways, to establish which way is wrong.

Did you match up the t.o. bearings? New matched the old? There sure are a lot of them, easy to get the wrong 'length'.

Rebuild discs are often bent, so I used to check them all on the brake lathe. Sometime I'd reject two or three before finding a good one.

Hmmm, you might be able to look at the disc/flywheel interface with the bottom cover off. Bent, it will touch the flywheel in one place, the presssure plate opposite, with clutch to floor. You've only got three windows to peek through...
