Thank for the info Bill. I'm familiar with that kind of switch.
But, that's not going to work on this switch, unless I'm missing something. On this switch, the knob comes off by pushing a jewelers screw driver into a slot on the knob. The knob then slides off. There's no button on the side of the switch to release the shaft.
So far, all I can figure is that I will have to make a tool to slide over the shaft and engage the slots on the bezel.
I managed to get the switch next to it off. It was only finger tight and came off easily. So, I'm able to see the design of the switch. The bezel has to screw off to release the switch housing which is keyed into the dash.
