I knew that would be a good brainstorming project. Don't know if I'll even get to try it this summer, but maybe I'll at least clear a straight-line route from the bottom to the top and then decide whether it's for a guy with a mule team, a Bleichert patent tramway, or something in between.
If it's really true that a PW will climb a 60% grade, then I guess I should just drive straight up in my M37. Even though the average grade is 40%, I suspect the steep spots are at least 60%. I bushwacked straight down the gulch once and there were spots where I had to hang onto the bushes. Going up might be fun, but going down would have a serious pucker factor.
