What is length of NP420 input shaft?

The 1" dia 10 spline input shaft on my NP 435D4 is 9-9/16 inches long from tip to front of transmission case, give or take a tad. Are the input shafts on the NP420 shorter than this? Are they also 1" dia 10 spline?
