First an apology, I wasn’t “listening” when you said the extensions were too short. I ASS-U-MEd the Danish and American extensions were the same length. They are NOT and I apologize. They’ve been sitting in my garage for 2 months and I never once compared them side-by-side. That said, the Danish extensions are 2” l-o-n-g-e-r than their American cousins.

The portion that sits inside the frame is the same on both (5 ½”) but the section from the frame to the bumper is 11 ½” on the Danish extension vs. 91/2” on the American version.

I also compared the section of Danish frame that came attached to the winch. It is identical to my ’49. The rest of the bumper is also identical. Just the extensions are different.

I compared the rear angle on the Danish winch to the drawing (it’s all I have), the drawing shows a piece of angle iron vs. the three pieces of ¼” flat stock that is on the Danish winch. The center of the rear mounting hole on the Danish winch is 3 ¼” from the rear face of the winch. Maybe someone out there with a standard set up can measure their rear angle for comparison.

I still think the Danish rear angle could be modified to work with the American extensions with little effort. The sure fire way to make it work would be to get a rear angle from an American truck.

I can post pictures if needed. I hope I haven’t confused anyone!??!
