NOTE: All measurements taken with my trusty 24' Stanley and me eyeballing. The measurements could be as much as +/- 1/2 inch.

I measured the bumper on my truck and got the following:
14 1/2" from the center of the rear mounting hole in the frame to the back of the front angle
2 3/4" from the front of the shock mount to the center of the rear mounting hole in the frame

Then I measured the Danish Army winch and came up with:
16 1/2" from the front of the winch to the center of the frame mounting holes

I think the problem is with the rear angle that comes with the Danish winches. It looks like a piece of flat stock was added. To increase strength? You could probably get by, by doing one of the following.

#1:
Get a rear angle from another truck or build one from a chunk of angle.

#2
Notch/trim the rear angle on the Danish winch to clear the radiator and drill a new hole in the rear angle that will line up with existing hole.

I’ll probably go with #1 for my truck. Mine is supposed to have that little curve in the rear angle under the radiator for the hand crank.

Hope this answers you question.

Good luck!
