The 230 is offset to the drivers side in the M37. or Ray's kit to fit the 318 LA engine in, you have to notch a 1/2" moon in the frame rail.
If the Poly 318 heads are wider, does that mean they are wider to the outside, making the overall engine width wider? If so, does this push the exhaust manifolds out more? I certainly wouldn't want to notch more out of the frame just to stuff a Poly in it.
I think it's time to get out the measuring tape.
