Northern Tool 800-533-5545 has a 16,000 lb GVW pintle hitch that also has a 10,000 ball on it, with a vertical load capacity of 3000 lbs. The ball is the lower portion, and the upper clamps onto it. In other words, if you imagine the pintle hitch as the letter G, the horizontal bar in the letter is the top of the ball hitch. The pintle tow ring slips over it and is locked in place just like a military pintle hitch. You can thus use it as a regular ball hitch or as a military pintle hitch.
The 2" ball is 12921-C151 and is $59.99.
There is a 2 5/16" size available as well for $62.99 129212-C151.
Extra balls in various sizes ar available.
