Truck has orig. 4 stake pocket bed with spare mounted behind the passenger.
Recent brush paint job (red-orange). Looks great from 20 feet away. I recently went and got it on Vancouver Island. It turned heads and got comments all the way from Canada to Colorado on my trailer.
Now for the disclosures.
The cab is rusted out behind the seat base, floorboards too. The seats aren't original.
No winch, no pto.
Has good windshields and wing windows, no roll-up windows or back window.
I was told the motor is a 307 Chevy, has 2 speed hydromatic transmission. It runs and drives but needs a tune-up. I have only driven it a couple miles. Said to have leaking wheel cylinder(s). I've been using e-brake as I have been playing with it.
Radiator moved forward to fit the motor in.
2 old mufflers and marine fuel tank riding in the bed.
I bought it pretty much on impulse. Now it's winter and I don't have a shop, and feel like I'd rather work my other power wagon if I had the facilities anyway.
I know the first question is PICTURES! I'm sending them to the photo classified at the top of the page probably in tomorrow's mail.
The VIN tag isn't correct. Is off of a 2WD model. I say 1948+/- because that is the middle year of the 46-50 range when that truck was made. If you know something I don't know, I don't mind being corrected. I'm going to try to get 1948 put on the title.
Anyhow, if I can get it titled for <$100 I will sell it for $3000, more if more, pay for the truck and the trip and get on with my power wagon life without that particular truck.

So now I'm committed. Am sending pictures. Hope to hear from you.
David
