A fact that might help: old Power Wagons and M37s have the same spline pattern on the steering box end of the pitman arm as much later (70s or even later) Dodge trucks. Thus, one might be able to go to a Dodge dealer or junkyard and find a pitman arm that appears to be the right length and shape and the splines might be just right.
In particular, as an example, to put power steering on a M37, one uses a mid 70s Dodge W1-300 reverse rotation box; original pitman arm.
