Check the ignition timing and make sure it advances. At 20 degrees below, that’s pretty cold stuff for drivetrain oil and if you don't have the right lube for the temp, the engine's going have a tough time over coming the drivetrain oil friction. Also if you’re running 50 weight in the oil filter, you’re too heavy there as well, causing the engine to choke some.
