Drove it 1500 miles and that was a blast. Had it up to 133mph, too chicken to go faster. 450 hp Lingenfelter stroker 383. Yikes what a car. Not like driving the old Power Wagon!
The Barrett Jackson scene was cool - just spending a week looking at all the amazing rigs was worth the trip. I saw the cream colored, gold trimmed PW there, and it went for $45k, I think. My Jaguar sold for $22, not bad for a modified semi-old collectible. I made some money overall, but of course had hoped for more like $40k! I would do it again if I had a more profitable car to sell. Lots of hype, though, and it seemed like they had their shill bidders out there hiking up the prices, not to mention the cars they brought in and bought themselves, then trailered right back out again! I think they got in trouble for some of the shanannigans.
The car-related collectibles area was totally awesome, too, as were most prices.
They had an Amphicar amphibian, woodies that would give you one, one of Elvis' cars, you name it.
