Hi Jerry,
From the best minds around here and I have concluded the all turn signals were dealer or owner installed and mounting locations vary, from fender to grill area.
Sometime in 56 or 57 they could be installed at the factory.
A 57 K-6 W 300 has them installed on the out radiator cowl using "L" brackets.
The Grotie brackets can be bought through Napa or Car Quest still today.
