One year I was watching the Paris Dakar races on tv or at least some of the clips they show here in the states. Something that amazed me was that these class 7 trucks have the fastest times of all classes. Faster then motorcycles or the zippy little cars.
Basically they run all out and don't slow for anything! If they do break, they are done for. If something broke, they aren't going to have the parts or tools to fix it in the field...
youtube has some amazing videos of Tatra's and other trucks of this nature...
