Looks like the interior is red (door ajar).
It is not uncommon for filmmakers to paint vehicles for the look they want. They could have painted a red truck to make it look dingy.
A friend loaned his bus to a production company on the condition they do not disturb the original paint. They put a coat of gray on it to make it look like a prison bus, and then washed it off after filming.
